Born in 1985, Thadeus Morticaine is an author of many genres, strangely being into the classic pulp fictions of the early twentieth century and having taken on the - possibly dillusional - mantle of 'bringing acedemia to the laymen'. Since 2009, he has spent his time researching and re-writing the Poe-like memoirs of a man that might very well be his great-great-greatgrandfather, Obadiah Morticaine.
More recently, he has been trying his best to memorise the entire history of the English Civil War for a fast paced action series - cue the swashing of buckles, explosions, sword fights and the marvelous people of that era.
Also in the pipe line is a series of fantasy stories, set in a world where wizards use the light spectrum to power their spells; a sci-fi series where humanity has colonised the galaxy, much to the cagrin of the galaxy's other races; a series of fairy tale retellings set in the World War Two period, and a series that follows a detective who has a more than passing resemblance to Sexton Blake as he fights crime in the modern age.
Otherwise, Thadeus is said to have almost completed a PhD in Theology, but there is some mystery surrounding its incompletion. He spends a lot of his spare time, hunting out obscure aspects of Derbyshire history, adding to his pulp fiction collection, partaking in photography, listening to obscure rock tunes and hanging around with a techno DJ.
While involved with the 'I Thought I Saw Something Beautiful' haunted house project, he had a short stories published in the Derby Evening Telegraph and produced their brochures, as well as helping to run their art experience.
